Same thing just happened to me yesterday. 2003 Toyota Tacoma for $1600. Almost identical vehicle description email to me. Reported it to E Bay scam dept.

Re: EBay Scam

You report to eBay scams you find on eBay listings, not scams you found on Craigslist,  FB Marketplace, OfferUp, etc.

You report those fraudulent ads on the site you found them on so they can be removed. eBay has no control or power to do anything about scammers using fake emails pretending to be from eBay.

So what was first sign it was a scam?  Let me tell you:  A 2003 Tacoma for only $1600.

Re: EBay Scam

You found this vehicle on another site, not eBay.  eBay had nothing at all to do with this.

No point in reporting it to eBay.  You need to report it to the site where you found it.

Re: EBay Scam

Other sites have experienced scams with under priced vehicles being sold, that are not truly for sale

Fake pics, gift cards, bank transfers based only on a photo.

On a different site, sellers claiming brother is in the military and will send title, need cash in advance..

Stuff like that.

Use caution on deal that is too good to be true.
