Wanted

I thought I would create this thread for members who are looking for hard to find things. I am looking for an N Scale walk over foot bridge. I have been to every place that I can think of to find one. I wonder if they even make them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Chuck

...oh, I also think that Pola made one but I'm not sure about that. Maybe you could try a google search and see what comes up!

Re: Wanted

Here's a Walters link: http://www.walthers.com/exec/search?quick=272-222151&quicksrch_butt.x=26&quicksrch_butt.y=6 And Another: http://www.walthers.com/exec/search?quick=272-222151&quicksrch_butt.x=26&quicksrch_butt.y=6 According to the Walther's web site, both are in stock. Chack Ebay under "footbridge" too. B-)

Re: Wanted

I've got one at a reasonable price, I started to put it together and shortened the top deck to just go over one track, the cut off part is still in the box and the walkway was never glued together, it is in good condition. Barry.....]:)

Re: Wanted

I seen that one in Walters but it is made to look like stone. Won't go with my layout. The one on Ebay was just posted, didn't see it yet. Thanks. Chuck

Re: Wanted

Not really a want, but does anyone know the significance of silver doors on 60 and 86 foot boxcars or is it just something Con Cor and Atlas does to their cars. ]:)

Re: Wanted

I know yellow doors indicate paper service if I recall. i noticed MTL is releasing a BN boxcar with orange doors. I will see if I can come up with anything on your question as well as the orange. Unless someone else already knows.

Re: Wanted

I'm stumped too. Anyone have the Kalmbach "Freight Cars" book? That might help. B-)

I looked through my books and couldn't find a reason either. I even tried some searches on different search engines, and nothing. Sorry.

Re: Wanted

I have that book Pete and I don't recall reading anything mentioning door color coding, other than those indicating newsprint service.

Re: Wanted

Looks like silver doors are just that, maybe they mean something maybe not, guess I will just paint them silver as the pics I have found of Milwaukee cars (con cor) have silver doors, they also have black ends and roofs, very strange for ConCor but maybe proto, I do have a want now though, I bought a PRR closed top hopper with the intension of repainting to MKT in green and yellow, does anyone have the yellow lettering from the M/S MKT freight car set that they may be interested in parting with?:|

Re: Wanted

Just had a look at the M/S site, seems they did decals for the green and yellow diesels but not the rolling stock, now I have to get a yellow alphabet set so I can get the numbers in yellow, such is life. ]:)

Re: Wanted

barry. Is the MKT special style of font? Woodland Scenics makes dry transfer letters in yellow.
