The new Groups layout

It looks like the new layout is finally in work. To start off I had to authourize 39 photo's in the moderation section. Some of these look very old but I ask you check out the photo albums and see if some of yours has been deleted or is missing from your original entries. Having looked around the new layout for awhile I have found it a bit confusing, so I guess a person will have to experiment a bit and go through all the sections. What I have found out almost right away is that you will be signing in more, maybe because they said in one place or another that other folks could look at the site as non members but would have to sign in to participate, Still looking at this one. They have set the topics up like some other sites where you have scroll through all the pages to get to the latest entries. I just went to the preview section to look at what I have wrtten here and it went into the sign in page and when I signed in I lost all I had punched in, had to use the back button to get back again. Confussion-Confussion, sure hope they get it working better than it is. Jack just went to the preview section and it worked this time.

ok.... went to delete a post and the whole thread went. IS this a part of this wonderful new community ebay has built? Sorry. wasn't an important thread.

Dave, If you hit the delete button on your last post it should only take out the very last post you made. I just tried it and it worked. I can only guess that you somehow were at the very first post of a topic and in that case it will delete the entire thread. Are we having fun yet?

thats' what I'm guessing happened too Pete. It would be nice if I created the thread that I could just delete the one post...not the whole thread.

Here's another glitch I just discovered. You can't search the discussions any more using a key work like we used to do. I just had to give Gene the bad news and couldn't help him. Damn ebay! B-)

Pete and all, Click on Discussions and then look to the top Green bar on the extreme upper right you will find a "Search" section. I just tried Genes question "Car Weights" and two entries came up from year 2005. Jack

I am back and still having problems. Have to click on every link twice to get to it. First time page not found. Then the second time it is there. By the way someone was trying to sell a Foed Mustang using my account, but was caught. Took me five days to find out all I had to do to get back in was change my password. Chuck

Chuck This seems to happen often, a couple of years ago some one tried it with a Mercedes sports sedan and my account, there had been a few bidders and a second chance offer, the guy who had the second chance emailed me to find out why I had not responded to his bid, had a real fight trying to get to the bottom of it then ebay said to change my password to something way further related to my ID, so how much further do you go to barry1892 and the password I was using could have never been figured from what I was buying,and I don't respond to anything related to ebay unless it comes through ebay, seems there are some very smart people out there. Barry.....;)

On my computer when I go to the "Roques Gallery" and look in the upper right corner there should be a "Open a New Album section to click, well there isn't. All I get is "Subscribe to this album" and there is no way to Add a new album. Question--Is everybody getting the same as I or is there a "Add a New Album" symbol in the corner after you have clicked on the "Roques Gallery" I have sent out a query to eBay last week in regards to not being able to upload a picture. I am getting the piece that comes up and say your File is to big,a file about 49KB which is below their suggested 300KB, something like we used to get in the old photo section when you tried and went over their bytes limit. I have nothing in the empty slot named "Jacks Place". I feel that My file in ebay is corrupt so I guess I will just have to wait and see if they answer me. Has anybody besides Pete and myself tried to upload any pics lately and been rejected??? Jack

Jack. If I understand you right you cannot add a new album inside a album. All you can do is add photo's. To add a photo all you do is click on menue. To add a new album just click on albums there is were you can add a new one. Chuck

Jack you are right. It seems that the Rogues Gallery is the only album this happens in. Probably a bug that has to be worked out. Chuck:-)

I think there is a problem with the Rogues Album. Maybe we should delete it and start a new album. When adding a new album it is most important to click the "allow other members to post to this album" button at the bottom of the opening typing space if that is what is desired as in this case. I'll do it later and we will all have to re-enter a picture. Also, who changed the colors and how was it done? This is better than the green. Are there other colors? B-)

The way this program is working I'm not sure you should delete the "Roques Gallery" and start again as you may not be able to. Yes the colour has been changed and is not as hard on the old eyes. Oh well, here we sit waiting for ebay to answer our questions. I sort of think that after a week they should be able to catch up with their e-mails. Then again maybe they send their e-mails to India by boat and the return answer through Russia by way of dog sled. I think they are trying to compete with myspace,etc for options looks etc.. Why couldn't they keep it simple? I don't need splashy colors and little icons instead of someone's name and half the other resource s_cking crap they have running..
