I just received a shrink wrapped brochure from Precision Craft. There steamers look to be (especially in HO and their brass stuff) extremely well detailed. On their website they state that the N scale steamers where to come out in the later part of 05. Does anyone know what the hold up is and when they will actually be available?
My understanding is that we will be able to order them with sound and DCC decoder already installed or is it just the sound decoder already installed?

I RTeceived that catalog around three weeks ago. The photography is beautiful. If they perform as good as they look, N Scale will have truly come of age. I did call about the M1 and got an answer- sort of- they will be available sometime in early 2007.

Ok In the catalogue I received from Precision Craft and on their website it mentions that the sound decoder is a Loksound type but in the current Model Railroad Magazine (page 10)it states that Precision Craft N Scale E7A uses Electronic Solutions Ulm DCC decoders. Does anyone have any more info as to why this change?

Well I think I found the answer to the above question. In the catalogue where they explain LokSound they abbreviate ESU Loksound without explaining what ESU means so I figure Electronic Solutions Ulm is ESU and LokSound is what they call the decoders.
