New Christmas Tree Layout

Today I hit the lumber yard for some plywood, boards, screws, etc. I'm going to build a new HO layout for the tree. After last year's running it on the carpet, I decided I needed more work to do. Right. So, I'll post pics and reports as I go along. We are going to dismantle the dining table and store it in the basement for the season. That is the space I need for this layout. We don't feed anybody but us in the kitchen during the holidays anyway, so we don't really need the table. Well, gotta get started......

Merry Christmas everyone, it was ~45 deg here today, no snow for Boyds. We had a great family dinner with a big crowd. I will post a couple Christmas tree train photos. Pete, should we put them in your folder? Charles

Time to revisit this thread. Who is putting up a tree train this year? I am of course. I finally finished all the structures for it. Each year I'll add more detail like people, cars, animals, etc. I put handles on the layout this year so it will be easier to get up out of the basement and we finally bought a new tree. The old one was a faithful 25 years old. I'll try to get a picture up later.
