Just got home from Dallas... the trip to the airport was miserable this morning: 5:55, find rental car with flat tire. 6:10 depart, 10 minutes behind schedule (traffic slows badly at 6:30 on that road)… 6:19, traffic slows, 6:28 get passed a major intersection and traffic grinds to a halt, 6:50, finally get past a fender bender… three busted radiators, but nothing major. The cars should have moved over to the shoulder, but they didn't. 7:00 arrive at rental car turn in (almost missed the turn though). Car isn't in the computer properly, car was designated a one-way rental, and should not have been rented local, 7:15 get car checked in, 7:18 get to inside counter to get receipt. 7:40, give up on argument that receipt isn't really a receipt because it shows a list of charges, not a zero balance due. Things got better as we left rental car land on the bus to the terminal. US Air surprisingly didn't cause any pain, discomfort or inconvenience....
