Back to the basement

I have decided it is time to devote more time to the hobby again. I'm getting sick of mowing the lawn and all the other outside chores. I really must finish that hotel....... Received an email from BLI today that my repaired C-16 is on its way back to me. They didn't say what was wrong, but it is supposed to be fixed now. I'm still waiting for the latest Canadian MT boxcar. The mail is so slow........ZZZZZZZZZZZZ! So, who else is getting the basement bug? B-)

Re Back to the basement

I don't have a basement, but then again, the bug never goes away no matter what the weather although it is hard to model when it is freezing. ]:)

Re Back to the basement

Summer activities are still on the go here. Maybe in a month and a half when the weather starts to change the bug will take over and I will return to the basement. Still have a few building to scratch out, until then there is still a lot to do outside. Bike riding--Bee's to look after and take honey off-- still some good camping weather to come-- a little fishing before season closes and also all the jobs in my Little Ladies Job jar to complete before snow sets in. Oh for the lazy life of the retired Jack

Gene, Thanks,I have this set of hivekeepers on a slope in the hill area. You have to look carefully to see them as they blend into the shubbery. Jack

So Barry, just where is your layout? Jack, don't you do N scale? You mixing scales like Gene? B-)

Re Back to the basement

No HO for me just N gauge. They make them in both sizes, thats why N gauge is hard to see on the hills. My old fingers won't work for these but tweezers do. Jack

Re Back to the basement

When my mum was alive I built a granny flat for her, it is a two room and bathroom affair, the main room is 20 by 14 feet, now she is no longer with us the main room is my layout room, the layout is an island style and is 18 by 11 feet, I want to build a new layout, around the walls this time, I have all the new timber and track to start just having trouble pulling the old one down. ]:)

Re Back to the basement

I posted some pics of the Idaho Hotel in my On30 album. It is 90% complete needing more details, signs, etc. But, I'm going to take a break from it for now and get started on Barry's Mooney's Plumbing. B-) -- Edited by ginzokid at 09/16/2007 9:47 AM
