ios app adds filters without notice or permission

I have been conducting a regular search for items with the image of the mascot for National Bohemian beer, Natty Boh, for some time using the app for ios.  I intentionally wanted my search to include "All Categories" because I'm interested in all National Bohemian/Natty Boh ephemera.  I saved a search for National Bohemian thus casting a very wide net.  A while ago, I noticed that my search results were only beer cans and bar signs.  When I took a closer look at my saved search to investigate, I discovered that the search had been limited to the category "Breweriana, Beer."  I thought that maybe I'd accidentally saved an ebay suggested search so I deleted the search with the "Breweriana, Beer" filter, saved a new search that included "All Categories," and labeled the new search  "national bohemian no filters."  The next time I went to run the saved search, the "Breweriana, Beer" filter had been added again.  I didn't even know the word Breweriana existed before this problem so I know that I didn't add this filter to my search.  Now, I either have to manually remove a filter that ebay is adding without my desire or consent from my search every time I want to run it or run the search from scratch.  I also noticed that size filters were added to some of my saved clothing searches (again, without notice or consent), despite my intentionally not having added size filters due to the differences between American and some European sizing options.  I understand that updates are added occasionally in an attempt to make the service more useful; however, these should be optional in the event they have the effect, in practice, of actually making the service harder to use.
