I am looking for NOS "New Old Stock" items. Not car parts. Stop asking what vehicle I have and stop the auto correct(tried sorting a different way and NOS "auto corrected" to News). Your classification model is stupid AF and should never been put to work.

Try:

Clothing, shoes & Accessory's

Then open:

Gloves women

Then from there build your search by typing something like Vintage gloves vintage in the search box.

From there use the category's on the left and fine tune it from there.

Once you are satisfied, save the search. When saving it will ask if you want to get updates on new listings, I check the no box, otherwise your email will get slammed.

New Old Stock generally refers to things in the automotive industry or other replacement part so that could be why it is ask what car. The system is seeing that and auto directing to that area. Use the column on the left to set the parameters of your search, in this case, new.

Without indicating size I got 13,000 listings.

Just doing a search using the word glove(s) would be too vague for the system, it needs to be more focused on what you are looking for.

It is possible to bypass the autocorrection of keywords by putting one of your keywords in quotes. That will force eBay to search for literal matches of all your keywords with no corrections or substitutions. You may have to manually change the category as this will also prevent automatic category switching.

You may want to try searching for gloves rather than glove, though.

To add;

Try opening the link I posted, then look at the titles of listing that interest you, take a clue on the wording they used and use that information in the search box.

Because eBay's search pulls from every area of the listing, you need to be more specific. I am not a fan of the way the system works either. I do a search for example: Dodge Brothers parts. Out of maybe 1000 listings, only about 1/3 (or less) are even related to what I am looking for.

Doing a search just using gloves there were 1,700,000 listings that included glove (box) etc.

Thank you all for your help! I mainly use the mobile app, so the default for me is to search by keyword then to category-subcategory etc. I will try going the other way around. As for saving the search, it is not necessary in this case as it will be a one-time purchase.

The "select vehicle" thing is extra annoying to me because it appeared as a pop-up at first, and even after closing it, there is still a big banner on top.

I apologize for the rude tone of my previous post. I was irritated and thought this was the app feedback forum...

Thanks again everyone.

You are most welcome. eBay can be frustrating even when everything works as expected, which is not as often as many folks would like.

Did not seem rude to me, just that you might have been a little frustrated. 🙂 When you are posting on the community forums, you are not contacting eBay, just other sellers and buyers that try and help.

Hope it goes smoothly.
