eBay app won't install iPhone 5s IOS 12.5.4

I cannot get the app to install on my iPhone 5s, it appears to download but it will not finish installing?

Thanks for reporting this. Looking around online it looks like Apple is giving the wrong updates to some people. When they correct this you should be able to get the right update. You might want to contact them letting them know of the issue too.

I contacted Apple and according to them it's not an issue with them, really confused now?

Elsewhere in this forum you state that the latest version of the app only supports iOS 13 and above:

So, which is it? Is there a version for iOS 12 (iPhone 5s users cannot upgrade beyond that), or is your reply above misinformed?

I also have this problem on my iPhone 6 running 12.5.4 any help would be appreciated

The App Store is incorrectly giving people the wrong version, and it is happening to other people on other. This is happening to some other apps too, please contact apple support about this so they can look into it.

Our notes on installing with iOS 11 12 and 13 are correct, but this Apple problem is not allowing these OSes to get the right version. Once this is corrected it should be fine.

iOS 11 customers will be able to install 5.38

iOS 12 customers will be able to install 6.9.6

iOS 13 customers will be able to install 6.14.0

iOS 13.4 and higher will be able to install the latest version.

Well I tried to install the eBay app yet again and this time it said your phone isn't compatible with the latest version but it then said I could download a previous version which I did and it all works fine now 🙂
