eBay app keeps crashing With IOS 18 on iPhone and iPad

I’m using iOS 18 on my iPhone and iPad with the latest update of the eBay app. When trying to post something for sale, the app continuously crashes. Additionally, I am no longer able to paste copied text

Some app issues can be helped by uninstalling the eBay app, restarting the device, then installing the latest version of the app once more. The restart in between should ensure a clean install.

iOS 18 was just launched yesterday or the day before. It might be a compatibility issue that will be fixed with the next update of the eBay app?

If eburtonlab's advice does not fix the issue (hopefully it will) then I'd suggest using a web browser to access eBay until the next eBay app update is available.

I also suggest @mcmonorail physically shaking your phone while the eBay app is open to report any tech issues. Mention you upgraded to iOS 18. Those reports will go straight to the developers.

I've just noticed out of the blue today the following on my iPhone 13 Pro:

- The cart is pretty much unscrollable, if it does scroll, it will scroll maybe 3-4 items, stops, locks up, then acts like I tapped on the first item in the cart which is now off screen.

- The iPhone gets incredibly hot while the app is open to the point where the phone shuts off

I have removed and reinstalled the app - absolutely no change

I have of course, restarted the phone, no change.

I have had to resort to using the browser on my PC, but for the last few years, using eBay in the browser has been an incredibly frustrating experience. Its slow to load pages, doesn't respond to clicks, yet every other site works fine on the browser - and I'm not talking about some crappy big box store sub $200 laptop, this is a Xeon based power house with 64GB RAM, nvme SSD, dual GPU, loads of thunderbolt IO, etc etc. Same on my laptops (Windows and MacBook) - eBay on the browser is just horrid, hence I rely almost solely on the iOS app.

Another way to look at this: My wallet & budget might appreciate this little outage, but the family won't 😄
