Where is visual search

I read that it was a new feature in 2018 but I don't see it in the app.

In the Android version of the app, there is a camera icon in the search field -- tapping that opens an image search page that allows you to either take a photo, select a photo from your gallery or scan a barcode.

Sorry, I was looking in the iOS app.  Is it only an Android feature?

Right -- unfortunately I do not have an iOS device handy to see if the iOS app has the same feature, implemented the same way.

I was under the impression that both versions of the app definitely had the feature, though.

Yes, it’s in iOS too.

On your iPhone it is the little camera icon right there in the search box. For best results, try to ONLY get the item in the frame. Pretty cool feature for "What is this thing?" answers and to give a rough idea of what sellers are ASKING for (not what they are SELLING for)
