It’s sucks. On iOS 14.6 Deleting items takes forever. Fix it. Every time you delete an item the list scrolls up to the top. Grrrrr

Rather than deleting individual items one at a time, you should be able to use the "edit" menu to reveal checkboxes by each item row. Select multiple boxes, and then delete all those items at once by tapping the trash icon at the top of the page.

At least that is how it works for me using the Android version of the eBay app; the iOS version should be similar.

Yes, but it still resets back to the beginning of the list after a multi item delete. If I have hundreds of items I must scroll down to the end again to get where I was.

Before you could delete, and the list would stay where it was. I just see no need to refresh the list back to the beginning.

Why you don't try using the web browser on desktop computer? Maybe it will work.
