Using Ebay app on MacBook Air M2...

Can anyone please say if the ebay app for ios/apple devices is also good on the MacBook Air M2 laptops..? I saw on the Apple app store page on the web that the ebay app "is designed for iPad", which it says near the top of the page..

So I'm just wondering if the ebay app can also be used just as good and just as easily on a MacBook Air M2 laptop... Thanks for any advice!

App requires, for a laptop, iOS 14 or later and an M1 chip or later. Since the MacBook Air M2 can handle iOS 15 and has an M2 chip, the answer to your question is yes, you can download the eBay app on that computer.

Thanks for your reply.

Would you know if using the ebay app on a MacBook M2 laptop is just as easy and simple as I assume it is on an iPad..?

Thanks again!

MacBooks don't have touchscreens, so it'll be different using the app on your laptop.

In my opinion, you're better off saving the app for mobile devices and using the website from a browser on your laptop. Website has a lot more functionality anyway, plus there are several simplified interfaces for sellers if that's what you're looking for.

Re: Using Ebay app on MacBook Air M2...

Thanks for your reply.

I'm used to using the app on my phone and also on my Samsung android tablet, so I get what you mean about the touchscreen ability, or lack thereof on a laptop.

I recently acquired a MacBook Air M2 laptop which I've yet to unbox, so that's why I've been very interested to know how using the ebay app on it would be. On my other regular laptop I've now and then signed in to my ebay account to check a transaction or print something, and I've always noticed how things display differently than how they do in the mobile app. But I don't keep the laptop powered on all the time.

But I'm interested to know what are the few simplified seller interfaces available on the website that you are referring to..?

Thanks again for your time and input.

Re: Using Ebay app on MacBook Air M2...

There is a simplified version of the listing form and a business version of the listing form.

There is My eBay for the simplified version of managing your listings and orders, or there's the more comprehensive tool called Seller Hub for managing everything.

Like I said, you can download the app on that computer and use the app interface, but it might take some getting used to since you won't have a touch screen.
