‘Use secure browsers’ policy

I am trying to message a seller using the eBay app but keep getting this error message that your app doesn’t comply with Google ‘Use secure browsers’ policy.  I have updated the app but still keep getting the same message I am using a iPhone.

To confirm, you accessing eBay from the eBay app and you are not using eBay website from a browser app like Chrome, correct?

If you're using the eBay app, are you logging in with your eBay userID or are you logging in with your Google account?

Edit: I believe you are logging in to the eBay app with your Google ID. I suggest logging in with your eBay ID instead, and you can shake your phone while the app is open to report the tech issue.

Certain actions in the app may require a browser. What is the default browser on your device? Note that the default browser may not necessarily be the browser you usually use; when another app needs to open a browser window, your default browser is automatically launched, and it may be a nonstandard browser. Some software installations will add a new browser and may make it the default browser.

Try making Chrome or Firefox your default browser, and see if that gets you past that error message.
