Unable to remove historical purchases from with Android app

For several years I have been unable to archive/hide/delete purchases from many months (even years!) ago. When I try to remove them, they appear greyed out and unselectable.

Strangely, they do not appear when using an internet browser, so I can't even archive items this way.

I left feedback on the google play store to highlight this issue, and was told to post the comment here for investigation.

Thanks for taking the time to post here from the review. There are some limitations to when items can be hidden with the app. We will send you a direct message with some questions.
