UPDATE FOR THE RICH

I am NOT buying a new iPad just to get the eBay app update…… which you can gather does not work now. I have lost access to my eBay account because I am using an Apple iPad Air.
Come on eBay sort it out and let me get my account back on my iPad.

UPDATE FOR THE RICH

@paudo-9549 No need to get a new tablet. If on iOS 15 see bold below.

Instructions here: How to update your eBay app

- Requires Android 10 or later
- Requires iOS 17 or later, but there are directions for iOS 16 users to access an older version of the app

When using iOS 15 or Android 9 and not able to update to a compatible OS, you can still access eBay from a web browser on your device, and you'll probably want to delete the app so links open in your browser instead of the app.

UPDATE FOR THE RICH

@wastingtime101  has provided you with short term solutions.

Eventually, you will have to replace your iPad. There will be other apps and program enhancements which will make your device extremely limited in function. Even the browser will probably become obsolete with new functions requiring updates which will not run on your device.

Plan ahead.

UPDATE FOR THE RICH

Don't need to buy a new iPad, do it the old way.

Open the browser and go to the web site.

Have a great day.

UPDATE FOR THE RICH

@tobaccocardyahoo is correct @paudo-9549 and wise to say "plan ahead."

iPad OS 15 stopped receiving active support more than 2 years ago, and the last security update was 5 months ago. It's unknown whether Apple will release any more security patches for that OS.

eBay is not the only app you'll have trouble with as has been mentioned, and you may have noticed the whole device operates a bit slow.

But at least for now you can still use it and still access eBay via the web browser.

UPDATE FOR THE RICH

Please read my thread "Workaround for app access on iPhones" for a way to get the app working again. I try to keep it on the first page.
