Searching through a sellers store iOS app

Does anyone know how to search for items within a sellers store? It used to be the sellers name space the type in your search parameter after that but recently I have noticed that will no longer work and just brings back no results found even if you use a string of the two that you have seen in the sellers listings!

The following works for me in the Android version of the eBay app.

If I want to search your items for a widget listing, I enter the following in the search bar:

seller:jspiers widget

There may be a way to do such a search specifically from a store, but the technique above works even if the seller does not have a store.

Thats the technique I used in the past but it no longer seems to work, try it with this seller “seller:gala_motors focus“ and you will see no results but if you just look at the seller with “seller:gala_motors” you will see that they have items with name focus in the title.

In addition to this it seems to behave in a random way if i use “camera” instead of “Focus” with the above seller it will return a results yet both Focus and Camera are in the title of items this seller has is this some sort of strange glitch in the App?

I get 69 results for:

seller:gala_motors camera

in the eBay app when I search using UK as my country location in settings and worldwide item location in the filter section.

I get 3000 results for searching that seller plus focus. I get three results for that seller and focus camera.

Make sure you are using the correct location to search if you are not seeing any results.

Found the fault for some strange reason if you go to the seller it selects a category in the filter automatically in this case Ford because I used the word mondeo or focus and then won’t bring back any results if the seller hasn’t listed by category!

when use the word camera with this seller it doesn’t select a category automatically and then bring back results with no issues.

The app is trying to be helpful but that only works if the sellers has done the listing correctly in this case the items aren’t in the category “Ford” that is automatically selected by the filter and then fails.

Ah, I had not considered that search might be limiting your results to a single category.
