Search returning unrelated items

Why have you changed the search function?

Yesterday I typed in 

Magic Roundabout pin badges 

and got hundreds of items that were unrelated pin badges.

I can't put "Magic Roundabout pin badges" to cut down my options as the words won't necessarily be typed together like that.

It is now as bad as the Amazon search and that is saying something! 

I only want to see the items I am searching for. When it said under the search, something about similar items with less words that was fine, I could choose not to look at those but this is ridiculous and not helpful at all. 

It is not going to make me buy more, quite the opposite, as I gave up scrolling down through Monster pins.

I am not the OP, and the issue does not appear to be app-specific, but here is an example of a UK search like the OP's that returns a lot of items that do not match the keywords:

Bypassing the "search expansion" feature by including a nonsense exclusion term cleans up the results:
