Search results do not match search criteria

Some sellers do not include the word "reprint" in their reprint listings, so your exclusion term may not catch them all. You may have to use some other exclusion terms, or even exclude a seller's entire inventory from your results to avoid some of them.

Some unscrupulous reprint sellers may even go so far as to include an "original" item specific.

You may be able to eliminate some reprints by choosing your price range carefully to avoid items that are less than a certain amount -- if you know the value of the originals and you can rule out some items below a threshold value.

A search is only as good as the information the seller includes in the listing; if the seller avoids certain essential terms or includes inappropriate terms, you can report the listing for search and browse manipulation if you think the violation is blatant enough.

I've had some similar issues recently. I was searching for a caterpillar figurine, and all the results were cat figurines...🙄

If eBay is making inappropriate keyword substitutions, try putting one of your search terms in quotation marks, like this:

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=%22caterpillar%22+figurine&_sacat=0&LH_TitleDesc=0&_o...

Hey @bossmanrwo@eburtonlab gave some great suggestions for running your search a little differently. One other thing I wanted to call out though, is that a search is typically looking at the title. As eburtonlab noted, the word could be in the description instead. Run your search and then go to the Filter and select the 'Search in Description' option. That should help to weed out some more of those reprint listings out.
