This started happening recently where when I search for an item the search bar keywords will revert back to the previous search while pulling up the current results. Like I search for "sterling silver cup" the search will pull up results while at the same time the search bar keywords go back to the previously searched item. It's frustrating because if I want to add or remove keywords to the search I have to fully retype all keywords. I've used the app for many years and never run into this issue. Anyone else having this happen? Any way to fix it?

Using the latest Android version of the app (6.236.0.1) the search seems to be working correctly for me. I am able to search for one thing, edit the search field to search for another thing, and still see the correct terms in the search field after searching and editing again.

You may want to try uninstalling the eBay app, restarting your device, then installing the latest version of the app once more.

If the issue persists, try shaking your device while the app is active to report it to eBay.

Unfortunately, it's still doing it constantly. It happens both when I'm out and about and at home. My phone is a Galaxy s24. I try clearing stuff and restarting with no luck.

Any luck with this? It's driving me nuts. Reinstalled and it temp fixed it but reverted back!

Hi. Wow I was starting to think I was the only one with the issue. Sorry to hear that. No, it's still doing it and extremely frustrating. And it just started doing something else where if I want to add text between my keywords or if I misspelled a word, I can type one letter and then the blinking cursor goes to the end of the keyword chain. I've checked ebay app settings and my keyboard settings with no luck. I've been using this app for so many years and never encountered these problems. It's made using the app a major headache.

what phone do you have? im wondering if that has anything to do with it or it's just a glitch in the app.

I have the same problem and has been going on for a couple weeks. The voice to text was the first problem as it doesn't complete the item. Just the first syllable. Then also the same problems you mentioned.

Having the same problems with a Pixel 9a so it is not a phone specific problem it is a problem in the App. Have tried all the suggested easy fixes like restarting the phone, reloading the app, clearing the cache, etc. Nothing is working.

Amazingly the search was working perfectly today while at an estate sale. Everything I looked up stayed in the search bar as desired. However if I tried to edit or add words between keywords it still moves the cursor to the end after typing only one letter. I hope that at least the original issue has been fixed perhaps due to this thread and the others confirming that they're having the same issue. Fingers crossed.
