Offers not showing for buyer

As a buyer, the eBay app will not let me see any offers.

The offer shows up in the Notifications section of the app. Tapping the notification takes me to the Offers view, which tells me there are no offers.

 

 

If I use my watchlist to find the item, there's no indication that an offer is available. I can make a new offer, but there is absolutely nothing about the offer waiting for me.

 

If I browse the eBay website (not easy when every link wants to open in the app!) I can easily find the offer and view it.

 

My phone is a Pixel 3a running the latest OS (Android 11, 5 October 2020) and the eBay app is the latest version the Play Store will give me (6.8.0.12).

If I browse the eBay website (not easy when every link wants to open in the app!) I can easily find the offer and view it.

You can change the way that browser links open in the eBay app by going to your device Settings: Apps: eBay: Open by default: Open supported links. Choose "Don't open in this app" to ensure that eBay links open in the browser by default.

Otherwise, using the eBay app, current offers can be seen by viewing your Messages to find the individual offer.

Although the Watch List does not display an offer price, if you open the individual item listing the offer amount is shown there.

Not sure why offers cannot be seen on the Bids & Offers page, but I see the same thing -- a still-current offer is not shown there.
