Use the notification diagnostics to see if notifications are set correctly.
From the app main page, tap the three-bar menu icon in the upper right, scroll down to settings, choose "notifications", confirm that your settings appear correct, and at the bottom you should see an option to diagnose notifications. That will tell you at what point your notifications are not getting through.
