**bleep**? I have two devices, both Samsung S4 and both running Android OS version 4.4.2 . One of them is running the eBay app fine but the other doesn't and trying to un-install and re-install gets an error that the app is not compatible with my device. If I use Samsung Smart Switch to install from the running device to the one that doesn't run it still doesn't work even though it's the same version app and the same version devices and OS versions.

I've been informed the app has been designed to require OS ver 5.0 and above... BAD MOVE because the mobile browser version does not support any of the notifications and is lacking other usability features. Good way to loose tens if not hundreds of thousands of users and $ales... PLEASE FIX this shortcoming for all of us that DON'T want to buy a new phone just so that the crippled eBay app will function.

Thanks for posting. All new installs and logins will not work when below Android 5. The only option will be the Chrome browser.

I agree the same thing has happened to me, I had to factory reset my tablet, when I reinstalled eBay the same message appeared, its disgusting, phones and tablets are expensive and people don't want to constantly upgrade # eBay do something

eBay android app updated version will not work with some older android phones. My Samsung Galaxy S4 is not compatible. Does come up on Google Chrome, but no notifications of a sale I have made so I must check my eBay account several times daily now so I don't miss a sale. This causes me to ship later as sometimes I can't get the item out in today's mail. I'm very busy and can't stop to check my eBay app every few hours.

It would be better if we had the option of choosing the new app, but the apps update themselves unless you turn them off or uninstall them.
