Mobile app iOS asking for login and 2factor auth every single time

Hi,

I'm experiencing lot of issues with the ios mobile app. In particular it is now asking every time I open it to login and use the 2 factor authentication. It seems I cannot stay logged in when I just put the app in the background.
It is really a mess, I've tried all the basic stuff like reinstalling, deleting app data, but no luck for now.

What should I try now? is this a known issue with latest version?

If you have not already done so, it might be worth turning off 2-step verification, uninstalling the eBay app, then restarting your phone before reinstalling the latest version of the app and trying again.

The restart in between should help if the problem was with a previous app installation not ending cleanly; this could prevent new updates from being installed and lead to unstable behavior.
