Message to seller

Hi there I am unable to send a message to any seller while completing a purchase as once I have typed the message there is no way to minimise the keyboard that is covering the Done button. My phone is an iPhone 11. As a result I can type the message to the seller but there is no other button other than the go back arrow at the top of the app so I cannot finish the message and press the done button as it’s obscured by the keyboard that has no minimise or hide function. Please can you assist as it is very infuriating not having this feature. Regards Craig

Hey @craiggsstuff! I know the mobile team is looking at this for the next update, but in the meantime, you can get the keyboard to disappear. Just tap and hold above the keyboard and drag down, it should then dismiss the keyboard and you'll see the Send button.

Hi Velvet, this does not work sorry.  This makes it impossible to buy anything from eBay that requires message at checkout.

I have the same issue. I sent an e-mail. When composing a Message to Seller before paying for an item, the “Done” button is hidden under the keyboard, which cannot be hidden or minimized - so the message cannot be sent. Please fix in next eBay app update.

Having exactly the same issue, essentially making it impossible to get specific products from certain sellers. It seems ridiculous that this sort of simplistic issue would occur. EBay please sort this out, stop trying to fix what wasn’t broken in the first place.

YES!!!!

Same exact issue. Thankfully this workaround DOES work. Make sure you are not holding and swiping down on any portion of the keyboard  itself. You have to tap and hold the empty space between the message box and the keyboard. Then while still holding, swipe down. 

But you still need to fix it eBay. Very poor design.
