I have an iPhone 7 running iOS 15 and the new update won’t allow me to use this app on my phone. It says I can download an earlier version but it keeps defaulting to the IOS 17 update. Can anyone help please

According to a post on the UK community boards, the latest version of the eBay app requires Android 10 or later, or iOS 17 or later.

If you cannot upgrade your operating system or find an older version of the app that works with your current operating system, you should still be able to use a browser to go to ebay.co.uk instead.

If eBay browser links are opening in the Android version of the app automatically, you can disable that by going to your device Settings: Apps: eBay: Open by default: Opens supported links and choosing "Don't open in the app". iOS users can tap and hold an eBay browser link and choose "Don't open in the app".

You need at least Android 10 to use the eBay app on an Android phone.

If you cannot update to at least Android 10, delete the app and use a browser to reach ebay.co.uk instead.
