I noticed the other day that a lot I was watching seemed to vanish just to be marked sold in my watchlist a day later. Today I got an "ending soon" notification for an item I'm watching but it is now not visible in my watch list even though the listing itself is definitely marked as watched.
I have had this problem occasionally over the years but it seems to be a lot more prevalent lately. I would think it must be a bug - I can't see any benefit for eBay since it results in items getting less bids and so selling for less, and so lower final price fees for eBay than if the watchlist worked correctly.
