Is image find only in US app? I am in Canada

Hi,

On my image app, I can only search by words or barcode, I cannot see the camera icon there. My phone is Samsung andorid s8.

If it is only in US version, how can I download one in Canada ?

I do not think there are separate versions of the eBay app for each country; I can change my country location to Canada -- and when I do, I no longer see the option to do an image search. Perhaps there is some legal or technical reason why eBay does not offer that service to users that indicate that they are in Canada.

If you go to your eBay app settings and change your country location to the US (you may have to disable the auto detect), does the camera icon then appear in the search bar when you tap on the search bar? And if so, are you able to do an image search?

Be sure to set your country code back before making a purchase or your shipping estimates will be off.

Thanks , it works when I switch to US, but then the sold listing option becomes unavailable .....

I do not believe that the image search feature of the eBay app allows searching sold or ended items, just current listings.

If you can identify the item from the photo you should be able to search sold or ended items using the item name.

Alternatively, you could try a google image search to identify the item, then try searching sold or ended items on eBay that way.
