I accidentally upgraded my "Messaging" portion of my iOS app and now it does not work

Hello,

About a month or so ago in my iOS eBay app there was some option to try out a new version of Messaging. I do not know exactly what it said but I clicked YES and that I wanted to try out the new messaging. Every since then messaging has not worked on my app. When I click Messages I get a sad face emoticon that says "Something went wrong. Please try again later" And then a reload button that does nothing. I am curious if anyone else has done this or knows how to go back to whatever legacy messaging settings to fix this issue.

Thank you in advance for any help!

It might be worth uninstalling the eBay app, restarting your phone and then installing the latest version of the eBay app. That can help if the issues was caused by a less-than-clean previous update installation.

In the mean time, you may want to try using a browser to check your messages.

On the Android version of the app, trying the "new version of messaging" just displays messages in a threaded text style format. There is a link to switch back to "Classic version" which undoes the change.

Completely uninstalling and reinstalling the app worked. It is now back to the old way and has the option "Weve updated messaging try it now" which I will NOT be clicking. Thank you.
