How to use ebay app to scan for pricing while shopping (not to populate a listing) ++

I have watched a couple of youtubes saying to click 'search', and a little barcode icon will appear on the right side of the search bar. I don't get that icon.

Once you tap the search box there should be a camera icon in the far right. Tapping that will bring up the camera and bardcode scanner.

But the problem is...I don't get the icon so I can't tap it
