It’s too hard to reach anybody at eBay when there’s a problem with the transaction most times you have to wait ~ until the transaction is complete no help if a problem spotted in the middle of a purchase

Many issues or problems with buying and/or selling on eBay can be handled without actually needing to contact anyone at eBay.

How about returning and giving further details? We may be able to offer advice or help.

I’m having the same problem, in that I cannot contact anyone at eBay. My email address has been eliminated with my provider change, and I have reverted back to my Gmail address. Apparently, there is an old dormant account with eBay still active, so it will not let me change my address. Help!
