Getting a protocol error

Ive tried deleting app and re downloading it and still getting error on phone and iPad

I just upgraded my iOS on my iPhone 7, and now I can’t use the app to search for anything without getting an error message.

Ebay App for iPhone keeps telling me there's an error, even deleted it and re-download it, still same issue, even checked for updates... there's none. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

I’m experiencing a similar issue. Deleted and re-downloaded the app 2 times, with no change.

I get this exact same issue. Only happens to me on iOS 11. My old iPad 2 with iOS 9 still works fine.

The app worked perfectly under iOS 10.

As a dev, I believe this is a timeout problem. For some reason the app loses its connection. Maybe it's an http vs. https issue? We had that come up under iOS 10.

This happens on WiFi and cellular.

I reinstalled the app.

Login worked fine.

Getting messages under "My ebay" worked fine.

"Selling" is broken

"Home" is broken

"Search" is broken

"Notifications" is broken

I'm running on an iPhone 7 Plus.

All other apps work fine.

I'm also having the same problem, and deleting and re downloading didn't fix. So annoying.

I keep receiving "Error (NSPOSIXErrorDomain) The operation couldn't be completed. Protocol error (100). I have no idea what this is. My pad is up to date and so is the ebay app. Everything worked fine last night.

Alot of people are commenting online that the app crashed for them too using iOS.  Mine was already updated and app isn't working also.

I am having the same problem on my Iphone 6s ever since i updated the IOS, is there a fix for this yet? Seams like a bug in the system on ebay's side of the app.

I am getting protocol error 100 and just upgraded on iPhone 7.  I can't bid on items that are ending. I can access eBay on my iPhone 5 and I haven't upgraded that phone too old but eBay is working in that older system. Lol I see others are getting the 100 error today also
