I had a buyer that won an item that s/he did not pay for. I opened (and subsequently, closed) and Unpaid Item Case. I've relisted the item, and it's currently selling. My problem, is more with the Android App, than anything. I noticed this morning that I could leave feedback, so I did. At the time, I did not realize that you could only leave positive feedback for buyers.
So, I left my feedback, indicating that the buyer won an item he didn't pay for, and it's marked as positive feedback. I can't change it, and I can't delete it. He was supposed to have a non-payment listed on his account, and he doesn't, so I figured I would leave feedback myself. The guy didn't communicate with me at all. I'm a reasonable person - if he had at least contacted me to let me know what was going on, I either wouldn't have filed the claim, or I wouldn't have left any feedback at all.
I'm really frustrated right now. With myself, but mostly with eBay, for not giving me any indication whatsoever that I was leaving positive feedback for someone unintentionally.
So, now, I am in a situation where I've inadvertantly violated eBay policies, and a buyer can request to have my feedback removed. Which is fine, I hope he does get it removed, but I don't want a "strike" against me because I violated policy.
It would be nice if the "Leave Feedback" button was disabled once an Unpaid Item Case has been opened and subsequently closed, or if there was some other indication that I was leaving positive feedback from the app. It would also be nice if the app had a way to leave feedback for the eBay app itself.
