It will mot let me turn off email notifications. It’s so annoying and I have to delete a bunch every day.

Have you tried to go into your Account Settings/Account Preferences/Communications Preferences? I found that cutting a lot of those off reduced the particular notifications that I don't need to see. Good luck.
