Ebay app not working

Ebay, fix this DUMB decision of your's - not supporting older OS'. I used to buy almost every day with my older Android 9 phone. If you think that You will force me to upgrade my phone just for Your amusement - you are wrong. There is one thing I will do for sure - forget about buying from your stupid platform!

Instructions here: How to update your eBay app

- Requires Android 10 or better
- Requires iOS 17 or better, but there are directions for iOS 16 users to download an older version of the app

If you cannot update to a compatible OS then you'll have to access eBay from a web browser on your device and you'll probably want to delete the app so links open in your browser instead of the app.

With Android 9 you'll have to use your phone's web browser.

Don't give me this copy/paste dumb answer. If you can fit it - then fix it! If not - stop wasting my time. If I could have been abled to update my phone's OS I would have done it by now. But since there is no such update - I use my phone the way it is. I am not going to update my phone just for your amusement!

I don't work for eBay; I cannot fix anything.

All I can do is provide info about the change impacting UK users today and suggest you delete the app and use your phone's web browser instead as that will work for accessing eBay.

It is not surprising with the current Android version at 14 and 15 in beta, that some older versions will not work with apps which have been enhanced recently.

This is something at Apple users have experienced repeatedly with Mac and their iPhones, iPads etc. PC users have had to wait longer before their old O/S versions ceased to function, but it occurs there as well.

Eventually, even the using a browser to access a website from an obsolete system stops working. I have a Windows XP system which can no longer get browser updates and cannot access some websites.

Its likely that by this time next year, Android 10 users will face the same issues as Android 9 users today.

Dont work with Samsung S10 with Android 12 either.  Message is that this app dont work on this phone in Play Store. Think i changer to Temu or something Else.

It does work with Android 12. Did you try troubleshooting tips offered on your other thread?

Yes, rebooted and all updates installed. Not a difference. I've heard from other that have the same problem too, so it is probably the new app. Hopefully it will come a bugfix app.
