Ebay app does not work

Galaxy s7.

app will open, will not allow me to type, will shut down and reboot if I try to type. Can not click links into ebay app will shut down app.  Ongoing issue for months.

You should be able to use the latest version of the eBay app as long as you are using Android version 5 or later (5.11 or better preferred).

If you do not have the latest version (5.42.0.8), then try uninstalling the eBay app, restarting your device, and installing the latest version from the Google Play Store.

If you are unable to obtain the latest version from the Google Play Store, make sure you have the latest versions of Google Play Services and Google Play Store:
