Delete the app, reboot your device, then do a fresh app install. If that does not fix the problem, file a tech report - it's fast and easy and eBay does review these reports.
Options through the app:
1. Shake your device while the app is open and that will trigger the option for you to file a tech report or submit feedback on product features.
2. Anywhere you see the three dots or the ? you can tap on that to file a report. Screenshot below.

I never heard about shaking the phone to report a problem. I shook my phone all about and sure enough a screen opened to report problem. Is that unique to eBay?

No a lot of apps use it @stephenmorgan . Pretty sure you can shake to report for iOS issues, for Instagram app, Facebook app, and a whole bunch of others.
These days you have to give it a solid shake to trigger the action, which is good.
I remember when Apple first launched the feature and on my old iPod it was "shake to shuffle" so you'd shake and the song would change - except the sensor was really sensitive so if your iPod was in your pocket or strapped to your arm while running or even walking, the song would change every few seconds unless you turned the feature off. 😂
They learned from the early days and the shake sensor is a lot less sensitive today.
