I got an email that says my counteroffer was accepted. When I look at the item, it says “Paid - ship.” But I also got a message saying “Unfortunately your counter offef was unsuccessful.”
It’s either one or the other.
I’d add screenshots, but don’t see a way to. I can take a photo, but not insert a screenshot.

Also, I checked my bank account for the alleged payment & it was not in my account. Yesterday, when I opened the ebay app, I was notified that my account needed to be verified, which I did. I was told that I could now receive payments again, but today, still no deposit for the alleged paid auction.

Is the item in your awaiting to be shipped page? If it is then ship it.

Yes, it is waiting to be shipped. It says “Ship by Dec 18.” With these weird conflicting messages, I was going to wait until the money appeared.
I reported it here b/c there doesn’t appear to be a way to report this bug to ebay. Ebay used to have a very good customer support that you could easily reach via phone or chat, but now you have to lie about what problem you have in the menus to reach anyone in customer support. I’ve been an ebay user for about 25 years… if I need help, an FAQ is not what I need… I need a human.
I wish ebid would take off… I’d much rather use that - fees are a tiny fraction of ebays, but ebay has 1000 times more buyers.

So you're holding your buyer's purchase hostage because of some glitch?
I wouldn't want to do business with someone that does that.

Hostage? Seriously? It is not unreasonable for me to be concerened. I got a message saying the counter offer expired & I have not been paid. Two reasons to be cautious. If ebay confirms there was a glitch & the buyer has paid, I’ll ship. My listing says I ship within four days & I usually ship within one.
