Changes to saved search notification methods do not stick

When I go to my saved searches and click the edit button to try and turn notifications on or off for either the app or by email, I click save but the changes do not actually save. Clicking edit again shows they are still in their previous state and I still get the alerts.

Re: Changes to saved search notification methods do not stick

Using a desktop browser you should be able to subscribe or unsubscribe email notifications for Saved Searches.

Re: Changes to saved search notification methods do not stick

I opened my Saved Sellers in my Android app and on my desktop using Firefox at the same time.

Subscribing or unsubscribing using one device, and then refreshing the page (in the case of the app I went to the home page and back to the saved seller list), results in changes appearing correctly on the other device for me.

Thanks but unfortunately there's no way to adjust these notifications on the desktop site.

Hi @dealsinspades! I have the same experience @eburtonlab described. If you haven't yet, ensure you're on the most up to date version of the app; along with clearing the cache and cookies for the browser your using, or try a different one. The two should save and sync up though.

Re: Changes to saved search notification methods do not stick

Thanks, I was able to figure it out. I was clicking the Saved link right under the search bar (with the little heart icon) and did not see a way to manage them there. I found Saved Searches under the My eBay menu and was able to turn off the email alerts.

Still no way to turn off mobile alerts without deleting and re-saving the search though. I have a lot of Boolean terms in them so a bit of hassle to do them all one by one.

You should be able to turn off mobile alerts in the app by going to the Saved Seller list, then using the "edit" link. That will reveal email and mobile icons for each search that you can use to enable or disable each one quickly for each search on your list.

Re: Changes to saved search notification methods do not stick

That should say "Saved Searches" rather than "Saved Sellers".
