I can’t reply to messages in my inbox using the mobile app for iOS. It’s sporadic and random. I will be conversing with a buyer and then all the sudden I get an error saying message can’t be sent. This just started the last few days. When I try to send a message I get an error code and the error says “parent question ID does not match the specified ID” Does anyone have any idea what that is or how to fix it? I googled it to no avail. Yes I’ve logged out and logged back in, I deleted the app and reinstalled it. I still can’t reply to messages in my inbox.

It’s working better now, but it happened to me again a few days ago.

Only on the day of posting and it was most frustrating.
I then sent a message to the same seller via another item I had no interest in and it sent straightaway.
Since then I have had no problems messaging other sellers.

I also had to communicate using another item being sold.
I use ipad safari. I get frustrated with replying to messages because safari wont reply directly, instead opens the ebay app. And I get that message error as well.
yes, message is sporadic, as I have seen and had the same trouble b4.
So is there two problems?

How do you see what else they sell I'm trying to find things but don't know how to go about it thanks.im new to eBay and this is really stressful as I purchased a gift for my child but I can't respond to the seller.

Seems like a device level bug.
Got the same error trying to communicate with eBay customer support on my iOS device. Opened my computer and my messages were sent flawlessly. Try sending the messages from different devices 🙂
