Can I get push notifications from Ebay if the app is closed?

Wondering if I need to have the app running all the time in order to be able to get a sales notification? Also I have multiple accounts and can only be logged into one at a time, so wondering if I can log out and still have it send me push notifications for sales? Thank you very much
