Editing text in the search bar is broken. Editing text in the search bar does not have standard iOS text editing/selection capabilities.
The only way to edit a word in a search string is to delete delete entire string and start over or backspace to error and correct from there.
This is for 6splus and 7plus iPhones. Maybe more.
