Are there any plans to rectify this issue with the app?

Dear eBay tech people. I don’t think you quite realise how many of us sellers especially rely on the app to conduct our business, keeping an eye on how auctions are doing, sending out offers etc. The browser version makes these simple things incredibly difficult, so please PLEASE can you find a way of allowing all us ‘outdated’ people who resent or can’t afford to buy new phones  (just because of eBay not giving a fig about loyal customers) to continue using the IOS 15 version of the app? Please. Thank you.

@gentlemangeoff67

According to a post on the UK community boards, the latest version of the eBay app requires Android 10 or later, or iOS 17 or later.

If you cannot upgrade your operating system or find an older version of the app that works with your current operating system, you should still be able to use a browser to go to ebay.co.uk instead.

If eBay browser links are opening in the Android version of the app automatically, you can disable that by going to your device Settings: Apps: eBay: Open by default: Opens supported links and choosing "Don't open in the app". iOS users can tap and hold an eBay browser link and choose "Don't open in the app".

Ok, so you didn't even read the message you've replied to with this generic bull that doesn't help at all. Perhaps you're a bot, but if not can you please actually discuss this like a normal person, please? It is really important for many of us - with no time to waste

Responders here are volunteers and doing the best they can to assist users with a work-around using the website. If you want to have a discussion about this I suggest bringing your concerns over to community.ebay.co.uk where you can engage with UK eBay staff. My assumption is this app limitation is related to changes that rolled out today regarding buyer protection fees and private sellers. Whether or not eBay decides to update outdated versions of the app for these changes, your best option to fight for change is over on the UK forum.

If you want to know what eBay's plans are, ask eBay. I don't work for eBay or speak for eBay.

There are folks with actual questions about how to use a browser instead of the app that I would rather be helping.
