App crashing when using search bar

Every time I open the app I get kicked out no less than 3-4 times when typing in the search bar with the "Ebay has stopped working please report or pressure OK" message

Are you using the latest version of the eBay app (5.38.0.14)?

If not, try deleting the eBay app, restarting your device, and installing the latest version from the Google Play Store.

I literally slowly with force, wiped my forehead reading this..... Yes I turned my phone off and on again, yes I updated yea I deleted and re installed yes I have tried everything including signing in, and signing out and then even signing...back in again... I also took it upon myself to read reviews in the playstore and came across other who are having the same issue

Does that mean that you did not have the latest version?

Did you verify that you actually have the latest version now? If you are having trouble getting the latest version there are steps you can take. If you already have the latest version, that may indicate a different problem.

Are others using the same device and OS version having the same problem?

It means I have tried everything thing that you can try, it means yes yes yes I have the latest version, yes yes yes mentioned in comments of the phones other app users have is the same as mine, it means there is an app error if other people are having the same issue, never mind, just uninstalling, can't be bothered, was seeking help because I have tried everything, and I have mentioned that I have tried everything, and with everything reply I I'm just going to get asked if I've tried something else, and I'm not going to waste time repeating EVERYTHING... thanks, was fun while it lasted and before the app started going down hill..., email me when the app gets their systems together and I'll check you's out in the future...Goodluck

Well, if you have already tried everything then I suppose there is no point making further suggestions of things you could try.

You still have not mentioned what device and OS version you are using, and you have not indicated if anyone using that particular combination has gotten the latest app to work.

If you cannot get the eBay app to work with your device, you may have to use a browser to search on eBay, or look for a third-party alternative.
