I'm sure this has been discussed here ad nauseum. I HAD two accounts. I will no longer be using this one. I have the ebay app on my iphone for one account and use Google for my browser for the other. Every time I do something on the browser, it opens the app, which means there are certain things I cannot look at if I'm out an about, and only have my phone. They are two separate entities and should not be performing that way. I am finally tired of fighting with it and will now only have one account. This issue has been going on for years... you would assume someone would have figured it out. I'm not interested in a 'work around'.

If eBay browser links are opening in the app automatically, iOS users should be able to tap and hold an eBay browser link and select "don't open in the app" to prevent that from happening. Android users need to go to the device Settings: Apps: eBay: Open by default: Open supported links and select "don't open in the app".

That didn't work at all... I tapped and held everything and never saw "don't open in the app"... and if it's something I would have to do on every page I visit it's too annoying. Thank you though for responding 🙂

If you are using an iOS device, use whichever browser link is actually opening in the eBay app -- most likely that is a link to an item listing from your search results. You would only have to tap and hold that link once to disable that option going forward. After that is done, those links will open in a browser rather than the app.
If you have an Android device, go through your device's Settings as outlined above.

Another option is to use private browsing mode on your browser. In my experience, using private browsing mode links will open within the browser and not the app.
