Adding USPS tracking is unideal

USPS receipts don't have barcodes, so the barcode reader is not useful. It'd be great if the scanner could read the tracking number off the receipt! But even just typing in a USPS tracking number, the app sometimes gets confused and says the code is "not valid" (or something like that).

Under what circumstance would you need to scan the receipt? Any scans for packages would be taken off the label or if printing a label from your eBay page, that number is loaded directly to your sold item. I have not had any issues when typing a number in from the receipt for tracking when buying from USPS. Try just typing the number in and click search and follow the prompts. If you buy the label at the USPS, that number should already be in the system at the time you bought it and would only need to be added to the box on the sold page.

I don't have a printer, so I just hand write labels. I take packages to the post office and all I get is a receipt with a tracking number on it. So it seems confusing to me that the first thing the app does when I go to add the tracking number is open the camera. I have nothing it can scan.

I thankfully haven't had a problem typing in tracking numbers lately. The first one I tried seemed quite problematic. There was some error. I can't reproduce it so maybe I did something wrong or a bug was fixed. That part of my issue can be ignored, I guess. I remember it happening, but I can't reproduce it.
