Hi. Well I have this antique pearl necklace. I’ve never seen anything like it. I’m unsure of the age but want to assume it’s antique due to the hallmarks on the back of the pendant. The pendant looks to be brass possible. I don’t know. As far as the pearls they look to be freshwater deep sea. Can anyone provide some kind of help with this.
Thanks in advance

It looks like British sterling mark for Birmingham. It does appear to be antique, but I can't help with the exact dating. Those type of pearls are baroque.

Can you get a close up of the marks? I am wondering about the mark in the middle.
Is there a clasp? If so please show it, it may help date the piece.
I suspect an older pendant added to a newer necklace as it was strung, but that's JMHO

I tend to agree with Mforjan. No jeweler would use jump rings like that to hang a pendant from a pearl necklace. The string of beads wound around the pearls was probably added later as well. No one would go to the trouble to hand knot pearls to protect them from damage, which is part of the reason it's done and then wind little scratchy seed beads around the pearls. The pearls are beautiful on their own and would probably sell better without the pendant and seed beads.
