Help in Identifying Maker's Mark "WB" in a diamond on a 14K ring

Ring is at least 55 years old, 14K yellow gold, with a past emerald  cut paste aquamarine stone.  Has a maker's mark of "WB" inside a diamond shape.  Looking for information on the Maker's Mark.

It's probably Weinman bros.

Makes sense.  The NYC location works well too.  The font looks the same or at least very similar.  Unfortunately all the Weinman Bros Maker's Marks I have located on the internet to date were either just a "WB"  or a "WB" inside a rectangle.

I know, the diamond cartouche is throwing me off too.

But I also wonder if that cartouche is tied in with the fact that your piece is 14k gold?...just a thought.
