Hi everyone
Does any recognize this maker’s mark? It looks like a sideways “S” with a line through it. It is stamped 925 and 14K.
I am also wondering how the gold was applied. It seems to be a thicker layer than just plate. It looks hand made to me but I am no expert. Thanks!

Well 14k over 925 silver is called Vermeil. It is the most desired plating and as far as the mark goes, give me a second to view it better and will get back with you.

Here is a link to the plating process of Vermeil for you to view.

I keep looking at that bracelet and keep saying to myself that's small. It could be that the horizontal S stands for small, I've seen bracelets like that before.

Thank you silverstatetreasureboxes. It is on the small side with wearable length of a little over 7 1/4 inch.

Did you ever find any more info on this sideways S mark? I recently received a bracelet with the same mark, however mine is quite different and I am sure it does not stand for small.

14k + 925 is not typically used to indicate vermeil (pronounced "ver MAY" BTW). Usually vermeil will have a gold outside appearance but be stamped 925 or sterling. 14K + 925 usually indicates a mixture of 14k solid gold and sterling silver. In this case, one would assume that the yellow (or rose?) gold portions are 14K and the rest is sterling.
Also remember that there are many unscrupulous sellers that falsely stamp jewelry with the intent to deceive, and this is always a possibility.
